Delivery and fulfillment
This policy explains where Recipy delivers at launch, how delivery prices and estimates work, and what happens if printing or delivery goes wrong.
The seller is AB & GL Nexus Global Partners Limited, Irish company 764964. Lulu is Recipy's print and fulfillment provider, but Recipy remains your seller and customer contact.
1. Launch territory
Checkout accepts delivery addresses only in the 27 European Union member states and only where the address is inside the ordinary EU VAT and customs territory and receives a supported tracked-delivery quote. A country may remain unavailable until Recipy has verified the actual print and dispatch route for that order.
The launch territory does not include the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein. It may also exclude special territories connected to an EU member state where different VAT, customs, carrier, or fulfillment rules apply. The country and postcode controls at checkout determine availability for a particular order.
Receiving a quote does not by itself guarantee that an address is legally or operationally supported. Recipy will not take payment if it knows the order cannot be fulfilled.
2. Delivery price and taxes
The initial EUR 39 or EUR 49 book price includes one base hardcover copy but not delivery. Delivery is quoted separately when Recipy has the final address, quantity, and service level.
Before final payment, checkout shows:
- the destination and full delivery address;
- available tracked-delivery method;
- estimated production and delivery period;
- delivery charge;
- any tax or duty Recipy must legally collect then;
- optional upgrades and additional-copy price or discount; and
- the full total payable.
The accepted server-generated quote controls the order. We will not add an undisclosed mandatory delivery fee after payment.
Lulu may charge taxes to Recipy as its merchant customer. That supplier charge is separate from Recipy's tax responsibilities to you. Recipy calculates the customer-facing total from the verified route and does not pass an undisclosed mandatory tax or import charge to you after payment.
3. Estimates, not guaranteed dates
Print-on-demand production and carrier delivery times vary by destination, facility capacity, file review, weather, customs controls, and events outside reasonable control. Dates shown at checkout are good-faith estimates based on information available then, not guaranteed arrival dates.
This does not remove Recipy's duty to deliver within an agreed period or the remedies available for a material delay. If no specific period has been agreed, the statutory delivery rule applies. If we learn of a material delay, we will contact you and explain the revised estimate and available options.
Do not rely on an estimated delivery date for a wedding, birthday, holiday, or other fixed event unless Recipy expressly agrees in writing to that deadline.
4. Address review
You must enter a complete and accurate name, street, unit, city, postcode, country, and email. Recipy will ask for a delivery telephone number only if the exact carrier requires one for that shipment. Before payment, Recipy will show the address for review.
Contact support@recipy.to immediately if you spot an error. We will try to correct it if production or carrier processing allows, but a change may not be possible after submission.
If a failed delivery or replacement was caused solely by an incorrect address you entered and confirmed, Recipy may ask you to pay the evidenced, unavoidable cost of a new delivery or replacement production. We will first investigate whether Recipy, Lulu, address validation, or the carrier caused or contributed to the problem. We do not charge an arbitrary address-error fee.
5. Proof, payment, and production
The final order uses the exact proof you approve. Approval is provisional until the associated payment succeeds. On successful payment, Recipy locks that edition and creates a fulfillment order through a duplicate-safe process.
Lulu may move a submitted job into production quickly and may be unable to cancel it after that. Contact us immediately if you need to stop an order. The Cancellation and Refund Policy explains when change-of-mind cancellation may end for personalised goods.
6. File review or print rejection
Lulu may place an order on hold or reject a file for technical, safety, rights, or content reasons. If that happens, Recipy will:
- correct a technical production problem without changing the approved content;
- ask you to approve a new proof if a correction changes any content or layout;
- explain a content-policy concern and any review option; or
- cancel and refund the unfulfilled order when it cannot lawfully or reasonably be completed.
Recipy will not substitute a materially different book without your agreement.
7. Tracking and delivery
Where the selected service provides tracking, Recipy will make the tracking information available after the carrier receives the parcel. Tracking events can be delayed or incomplete.
Delivery occurs when you or a person you nominate takes physical possession of the parcel. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, risk of loss or damage remains with Recipy until then. A carrier's delivered scan is evidence we investigate, not an automatic end to your rights if the parcel is missing.
8. Delayed or lost parcels
If tracking stops updating or the book has not arrived by the end of the stated period, contact support@recipy.to. We will check the order, Lulu job, address, and carrier evidence.
Depending on the facts and your rights, we will complete delivery, provide a replacement, agree a reasonable additional period, or refund. You are not required to pursue Lulu directly.
9. Damage, manufacturing faults, or the wrong book
Tell us as soon as reasonably possible if the parcel is damaged, pages or binding are faulty, content differs from the approved proof, or the wrong edition or quantity arrives. Keep the packaging and send clear photos if you can.
We invite reports within 30 days because prompt evidence helps with the printer and carrier. That request does not shorten mandatory consumer rights. The Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the remedy process and the difference between a print fault and a content choice visible in the approved proof.
10. Failed delivery and returns to sender
If a parcel is returned, Recipy will investigate why. The next step may be redelivery, corrected delivery, replacement, cancellation, or refund. If the failure was caused solely by an address you entered incorrectly or an unreasonable refusal to accept delivery, we may charge only the reasonable, evidenced extra cost the law allows. If Recipy, Lulu, or the carrier caused it, you will not be charged for the remedy.
11. Import and customs charges
The launch scope is designed to avoid ordinary consumer imports from outside the EU. Recipy verifies Lulu's production route before enabling a destination. Checkout discloses any charge Recipy knows you will have to pay or explains how it is calculated.
If a carrier unexpectedly asks you for import VAT, duty, or a handling charge that checkout did not disclose, contact Recipy before paying where practical. We will investigate and resolve the charge. We do not shift an unknown supplier or import charge to you.
12. Support
For printing or delivery help, email support@recipy.to or use /legal. Include the order number, account email, delivery postcode, and relevant photos. Do not send payment-card security information.
